Charles Davidson's picture was taken in 1926 as he sat in a straight-back chair in front of his one room homestead shack which he shared with his son on Beaver Creek, South of Havre, MT. He also shared his 'swimming hole' with the neighbor children, including my mother-in-law. This rocker belongs to her, and I combined her rocker and 'Grandpa' Davidson for a graphite painting in 1988. I recently found this piece of paper that included a rocking chair and I couldn't resist putting the two of them together.
That is great. I love the merging of the two.
