A ZIPPY Butterfly |
We're doing an Antique show this weekend, so I thought it would be okay to post another of the envelopes I did for my wife over forty years ago. For more on the whys and wherefores of these love letter covers, visit my First post about them HERE. Also, if you follow the label links for Vietnam, there about another 10 of them that I've posted over the last couple of years. This one got a little wet around the edges somewhere along the mail stream, but not enough to make it unreadable. Make sure that you visit Beth Niquette at The Best Hearts Are Crunchy for more Postcard Friendly Friday cards that are always worth looking at!
Another wonderful envelope you did for your wife! And I love the piece in the previous post. It is inconceivable to me how you can make the fruit jar so very real. You do such beautiful work. Have a successful antique show and an enjoyable weekend. Happy PFF.
ReplyDeleteI think it's amazing how you've been so consistent creating art throughout your life. It must be fun going back and looking at your older work.
ReplyDeleteI love the lettering you did in this one!
These must be so dear to your wife. And all these years later to be displayed in the museum, I wonder what your young self would have made of that.
ReplyDeleteI love receiving postcards. Very nice! Mine is here - Postcard Entry
ReplyDeleteI still got my stack of envelopes. And pencils. And paints. And brushes...
ReplyDeleteI am still taking pictures.
This is beyond cool. I am glad you decided to post it after all those years!
