New Ploy

So, I'm on a mission. I've been putting art work on envelopes since I was a kid, and I've posted some of it here. At least some of it is almost forty years old, so I think it can be considered old. Of late however, I've been doing Thank Yous and notes with a twist - and in this case, I'm trying to get my foot in the door. We'll see what happens when they get this one in the mail. Mary Green at Green Paper sent me some old maps recently, so I sent her something similar to this. Hers was a map of Paris - this one is an old map of Montana - so old that the city of Big Timber isn't even on it!

  3. I would think you could find some interesting stuff for your postal cards at Dover.com or Dover publications. They sell everything artists may need and it is all copyright free.

  4. I love old maps, and love what you have done with this one! What a fab suprise this would be in the mailbox, but you better hope they don't use that map to try to find you, LOL! Hope it helps and opens doors for you Dave.

  8. Hello Dave, how are you? Well, I didn't get any protests from Seth about posting his address to you, so check your email. Also, I must apologise; for some reason I was quite certain I had you listed on my "favourite blogs" list. I have this list so I can watch whats happening with people's blog updates. Of course, because I didn't actually have you up there when I thought I did, I've been missing all these fabulous postings you've been publishing! Arrrgghhh! Anyway, I love the Kilner Jar - fabulous workmanship - the detail is quite unbelievable. Extraordinary. Your art work reminds me of another pencil artist, based in Tasmania. I will find a link for you...
Are you still keen to do a mail art swap? I'll be waiting with baited breath...
